Friends!

The Color Challenge is on over at the Outlawz and this week picture and twist was chosen by Teresa, now all say ahhhh!

For my card I used a digi from Sassy Cheryl that I have had for ages and never used, it is soooo cute and so representative of the weather in the UK at this time of year - rain and floods, yuck -

I coloured the image with Promarkers and used my blending marker on the background, isn't it such a cute image?

The background paper was from my stash along with the lovely grey satin ribbon which I teamed with a great sentiment printed onto some yellow card.

This is a closer view of the sweet digi.

I hope you liked my card and I really hope you will come over to the Outlawz and join in our challenge, we'd love to see you!

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time and I hope to see you again soon!

Black & White.........

Well hello everyone, I hope your weather is better than mine! Friday night it snowed as though it would never stop but we got up on Saturday morning to lots of snow but blue sky! With luck it will all be gone before we go back to work!
It's challenge time over at Eclectic Ellapu and this weeks challenge from the Pink team was set by Dawn, and it is:

Black & White and read all over!

Dawn would like you to make a project using only black and white and using text.

This is what I came up with:

I used a selection of papers from Raspberry Road along with a fab clip art of a keyboard. I wanted to make a card that was reflective. I used some rub on words for the main and some marquasite letters for the main word across the centre.

Something very different for me and I hope you like it!

Please call over to Eclectic Ellapu and see the amazing projects that the other DT have made - hard to believe you can make such wonderful projects just using black and white and some text!

I do hope you will come over and join our challenge this week it would be great to see you there!

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate it, see you again soon!

Friday Sentimental

Yay! It's Friday and this Friday see's the new challenge start at Lay Annes for Friday Sentimental. This month's challenge is being sponsored by:

All the design team cards feature one of Guylou's fabulous digi's. My card shows the cat in the window

I coloured it up with Promarkers and teamed it with some papers from my stash. I added some red paper ribbon diagonally and used some Spellbinders corners cut from some red card. I balanced the other corners with some red pearls and heat embossed the sentiment in red; and that's it!

I hope you will come over to Lady Annes and join us in this challenge, remember its anthing goes as long as it has a sentiment on it - so I look forward to seeing you there!

Thanks for stopping by I do appreciate you taking the time and I hope to see you again soon!

New Stamp Challenge

The new stamp challenge is starting over at Lady Annes; if you want to check it out just click the page for Lady Annes up top and it will take you over to the site ( you can check out all the challenges while you're there!).
This months sponsor is:

All the design team were given the choice of their digi's to colour and I chose the carousel.

I made this into a Grandma card for a very sweet lady who has just become Grandma to twins, one boy and one girl (hence the dual ribbon). The babies were born premature and had some problems and Grandma was there for them all the time; happily they are now home with Mum and Dad and doing well.

I loved colouring this one, the image lets your imagination run wild and you could make it into anything you wish for so many occasions!

For this card I stuck to mainly pinks and blues with some added pastels because I could!! After colouring with Promarkers I mounted it onto some yellow card and then set it onto my background paper that is from a Nit Wits Collection. The corners were punched with a Martha Stewart corner punch and some pink and blue hearts added. The sentiments came with the image digi.

Please go over and check out the other DT projects they are absolutley gorgeous! Don't forget all the challenges (except the progressive challenge) at Lady Annes are anything goes so come on over and join in the fun!

Hope to see you there and thanks for visiting I really appreciate you taking the time!

Tuesday at the Outlawz!

Hello everyone, it's Tuesday and that means it's the Color Challenge at the Outlawz. The inspirational picture and twist was chosen by Roxann

now they are some gorgeous colours and the twist is make it square!

I made a square card using some orange pearlised card as my base card. I used some lovely pink card and some gingham paper from a Nit Wits Collection to make her little bathroom and them added the image that is one of the SWALK range from Crafters Companion - these are such sweet little images that all come with their own sentiment that is so apt for the image!

The image has been coloured with Promarkers and the sentiment heat embossed using some turquoise embossing powder.

Well that's my little bathtime beauty and I hope you like it! Do come over to the Outlawz and check out what the rest of the team have made, there's some fabulous projects and with such yummy colours it would be lovely if you joined in!

See you there!

Showgirl!

This is another image by Sassy Design Studio and she definitely has the wow factor!

I coloured her up using Promarkers and being a showgirl, I had to give her a little glitter! I cut out a doily from some yummy yellow glitter card as I thought that would be a nice showy background for her. The background paper is eons old and from Docraft. I added some ribbons some flower lace and some bling and here she is!

The colours for this were taken from the Inspirational challenge over at CDAC which I will be entering her into (I may find one or two others as well!)

Thanks for stopping by I appreciate your visit and hope you'll stop by again soon!

Happy Sunday people - we still haven't got as much snow as they promised but it is soooooo cold, perfect crafting weather!! I have got so up to date with my DT projects I even had time to make a couple of cards for fun - this is one of them:

The image is from Sassy Design Studio, she produces the most wonderful sassy chics with attitude and this is definitely one of them!

I coloured her with Promarkers and teamed her up with two papers from a Trimcraft pad, added a nice big flower and blinged the centre, punched the bottom cormers with a Martha Stewart corner punch and added some bling, simple as that! The die cut a a Marianne die.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate your visit and I hope I'll see you again soon!

Lady Annes Getting Ready for Christmas!

Happy Saturday everyone! It is very cold and a bit snowy here and definitely the weather to stay indoors!
Today see's the start of Lady Annes Christmas Progressive Freebie Challenge and to start off the challenges you will get two images from Crafting with Jack.

I couldn't wait to get started when I got mine, the first one for me will be a real 'go to' image as you can whip up a card in no time that looks stunning

I managed to print six images to a sheet of card (so I made six, lol). I coloured the image with Promarkers and added some glitter to the starts to make them pop. I cut them out into squares then rounded the corners with a clorner punch. I had some delish paper that I bought in a funny little shop we call the shed shop. He sells end of line stationery and sometimes some craft stuff and this one I spotted and got 12 sheets for a pound, what a bargain! I think it is the perfect background for this image and gives it some richness

and as I said, I made six! So quick and easy and great effect - fabulous to make six cards in an evening!

The second image is equally a 'go to' image.

Again coloured with Promarkers, I added a touch of glitter to the flame and the centres of the poinsettias - what a universally lovely Christmas image! I cut it out using a Spellbinders label die and glittered the edge to match my background paper - I made four of these (I got four on a sheet) in an evening so another quickie to make some cards in a hurry (I always forget someone!) I think they look great with different backgrounds too

I'm sure I will be making some more of these too!

Why not join in this challenge and get a head start on Christmas there are some fabulous images coming up and as long as you enter a card into the challenge each time you will get the next images so its a win, win situation! If you want to check it out click on the page for Lady Annes Challenges at the top of the page - there are some great challenges with something for everyone so come on over and join in the fun!!

Thanks for stopping by I do appreciate you taking the time and I hope I'll see you over at the challenge too!

Touched by an Angel

A new Progressive Freebie challenge has started over at CDAC and the digis that are starting it off are from Shellys Images. When I saw this image I really, really wanted to colour it, I don't know if you get the urge with certain images but some of them seem to shout out to me!

I coloured the image with Promarkers then cut it out. I used a frame die for the sentiment making the frame form some pink glitter card, I also cut the flourishes from the glitter card as well. The background papers are all from Raspberry Road and actually come from three different sets and to finish it off I threw a little lace and some pearls into the mix!

Such a beautifully drawn angel with a definite vintage feel to it! Don't miss out on this fabulous freebie pop over to CDAC and join in the challenge - not only do you get a beautiful image for free but you get to make some great friends as well!
Thank you for stopping by I really appreciate it and hope to see you again soon!

Tuesday!

Its the Color Challenge over at the Outlawz and it was my turn to pick the inspirational picture

This was another photo I took at the RHS Flower Show, aren't they pretty?

I did something completely different, well outside of my comfort zone!

I made a wreath from some raffia for the base, I then coloured some foundation flowers from WOC with Promarkers to get the beautiful blue and finished them off with some flower sequins and pearls. I had some frosted buds in my stash and added them between the flowers. I set it on a base of a Cheery Lyn doily with some skeleton leaves. My fibres came from the little bows which are made of cotton and coloured with some ink to the leaf green colour.

Well thats it from me for this challenge but I do hope we will see you over at the Outlawz and you will join us in this latest challenge!

Thanks for stopping by I appreciate you taking the time and I hope to see you again soon!

A Recipe.....

The new challenge is up at Eclectic Ellapu and this week I am your host. I thought you might all like a change after the holidays and so this week we have a recipe:

1 die cut, 2 patterned papers,

3 embellishments (can include digi)

and ribbon!

So for my card I am using a really cute image from the Paper Shelter

Now haven't we all seen that face before, lol! I coloured her with Promarkers and added a little green glitt.er to the ribs on her wings and cut her out with an oval die cut. The background papers are by Rasberry Road and Nit Wit Collections. I used some 25mm organza ribbon in cerise, some WOC flowers, some glitter leaf sprays and some bling!

I hope we will see you all over at Eclectic Ellapu with your lovely creations, we look forward to seeing you all!

I hope you like today's post and thanks for stopping by I really appreciate it and hope to see you again soon!

Nana Vic's New Challenge!

Well hello all! I got my dates a bit mixed up and should have posted this card yesterday in line with the latest challenge from Nana Vic - oh well, better late than never!

This is my all time favourite image from Nana Vic, I'm so glad I finally own it -  I think it has so many uses and it just speaks to you - the perfect peace!

I coloured the image with Promarkers and carefully cut it out. I used a base card of Centura Pearls white and coloured up the background to match the image, I used some peg stamps from Rubber Stamp Tapestry and stamped up the shells and starfish, then found some small letters and stamped my sentiment - which is how I feel when I look at this image!

I tried to get a seamless look to spotlight the image and to give it more impact I layered parts of the image.

I used my glaze pen on the flip flops and the large shells.

Well that's my card for this challenge I hope you like it and I do hope you'll join us over at Lady Annes for this latest challenge from Nana Vic and if you want to pop over and see what delicious artwork she has available you can find her here!

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate your visit and I hope to see you again soon!

Normal Service will Resume.......

Well the holidays are finally over and everyone is back at work or school - back to normal!

I hope you are all getting along with normal life and maybe enjoying a little peace and quiet! So it's Tuesday and that means it the Color Challenge over at the Outlawz, this week's inspirational picture was chosen by Ursula

Ursula's twist is to add texture - ooooh what a yummy picture!

For my card, for once, I decided not to use a digi or stamp that needed colouring!

I printed a beautiful silhouette of a fairy from a My Craft Studio CD  onto some pale blue pearlised paper. I layered it onto some dry embossed bright blue metalised paper which I added some lovely sparkly ribbon to then topped with some plain white ribbon finished in a bow. This was layered onto some dark blue vellum. My base card is Centura pearl white and it has been topped with some textured blue paper covered with some very wide lace that I found in my stash. I added the topper that I had created and made the greeting using Word.

A little different and I hope today's offering will appeal!
Thanks for stopping by I do appreciate you taking the time!

See you soon.

Tuesday 1 January 2013

Happy New Year!

Welcome to 2013! I hope this year is a good one for you and for the rest of the world.
As its Tuesday that can mean only one thing - the Color Challenge at the Outlawz!

This weeks inspirational picture and colour palette was chosen by Roxann:

Roxann chose the colours, light turquiose, blue grey and melon with a twist of add twine. What a wonderful change from the colours we have been using recently - a real breath of fresh air!

For my card I chose an image from D'Arcys Diaries

isn't she cute? I coloured her with Promarkers and used some papers from Nit Wits Collections for my background (now I've got a decent printer again, Yay!). I puched the corner with a Martha Stewart punch and threaded my twine through the loop to add my sentiment which I anchored with a pretty flower shaped button. I used Spellbinders corners, some grossgrain ribbon and some bling.

Hope you like it and thank you so much for visiting, I love that you have taken the time and appreciate your comments!
See you again soon!
