Easter Already!

Yep it is Easter (or the theme is) over at Penny's this week! We want to see all those lovely Easter cards and projects that you've been dying to start!

For my card I have used an image from our sponsor, Bugaboo

I coloured the image with my Promarkers.Flexmarkers and used some different colours of card for layering. The background paper is some cute paper from a Fizzy Moon pad that I had left and I've matted it onto some bright yellow card, the sentiment has been heat embossed onto bright yellow card and cut with a die cut. To finish I've used some bright yellow ribbon.

I hope you will come over to Penny's Paper Crafty this week and join in the fun!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!

Golden Oldie!

This week's colour challenge at the Outlawz has a gorgeous inspirational picture chosen by Penny

Couldn't you just eat that yummy cake! Penny's twist was to make it Birthday so I gave it my best shot!!

This cute image is from Stitchy Bear who are our lovely sponsors this month, he is called Birthday Boy and you can find him here.

I coloured him with my usual Promarkers/Flexmarkers and cut him out with my leaf die cut. The background paper I have had forever but was perfect for the image, The spotty paper is from a magazine freebie, I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment and then cut it out - the stars are from a big bag I got from a ound shop!

I really hope you can come and join us this week for this fun challenge - everyone needs birthday cards so what are you waiting for!

Don't forget that you can win a lovely prize from our sponsor this month!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!

Time to Chase Away Those January Blues!

So why not join us at Penny's and show us your embellishments!

This week we are sponsored by Lacy Sunshine, I love Heather's work, I have loads of her images and they are adorable!
For my card I have used the delightful Twinkle Boo, you could use this little darling for so many things and it would be great for a baby card!

I coloured her with Promarkers/Flexmarkers. She has been set against some pink sparkle card on a background of pink star paper from my stash that I have had for years! The large stars are some star shapes that I had that I have spread with some Flitter glue and coated with Flowersoft and glitter, they look furry! I also added some diamond stars to give it plenty of twinkle!!

I do hope you come over to Penny's Paper Crafty this week and join in the fun!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!

Yay! We're Back!!!

Penny's Paper Crafty is back from the Christmas break with a great new challenge for you. Just to get the party started this week it's - Anything Goes!

We have two great sponsors:

and I've made cards using both sponsors images!

Firstly I made this cute man's card using the QKR image - don't we all know someone like this!

I used a metalised card as my base and layered it up with some cream card that has been embossed with a Tim Holtz embossing folder then inked up to bring out the detail. I coloured the image with Promarkers/Flexmarkers and cut him out. I have a stamp set that I think is from Woodwares and is forever old that I stamped the beer mugs and greeting from, I coloured the beer mugs in then cut them out, stamped the sentiment and heat embossed then cut out using a tag die cut. I tied the tag to the beer mugs with some copper twine.

My second card is from Stamp art Design.

I thought I would make a step card for this cutie, the image is called GRACIE I coloured her with Promarkers/Flexmarkers and cut her out. I used an old 8 x 8 paper pack that I found in the perfect shades of pink  for the backgrounds. The sentiment is part of the digi set and goes perfectly with this image I used a Memory Box border die for the front and cut it from some pink glitter card. I used the same card to cut out the different butterflies, the huge one is a Marianne die and I added some gems for the body and antennae I added a pretty pink bow. She is such a pretty little thing, definitely a pink girlie girl! If you would like Gracie you will find her if you follow the link above.

I hope you like today's cards and I look forward to seeing all your lovely creations over at Penny's this week - see you there!

Sassy Design Studio

It's challenge seven on the SSD progressive challenge and this month Jackie wants to see our folds! I decided to use and envelope fold for my card, I cut the card from some gorgeous pearlised brown card, added some pearlised cream lace cut using a Spellbinders die. I cut a fan for the second fold using a Joanna Sheen Signature die (I'm actually in love with these dies at the moment!), I also used the heart cut outs from the fan as embellishments - it seemed a shame to waste them!

I coloured her with Promarkers/Flexmarkers - she is such a stunning sassy, that dress is to die for, lol!

Thanks for stopping by and if you want to join this challenge you can find it on the SSD Fan FB page, join up and join in!

See you again soon!

Dragonfly Dreams!

Yes, the day has arrived and the new challenge has opened!

I hope you will call over to our new challenge and join in the fun, we have some fabulous sponsors lined up with some great prizes! We also have some fun themes for you to play with - this month's theme is:

"Thoughts of Summer"
What makes you think of summer? To be summer is blue skies, sunshine and sitting by the water watching dragonflies dance, I can sit for hours watching these amazing creatures, their grace as they skim the water, their colours in the sunlight and in celebration of this here's what I made:

This month we have a wonderful sponsor, Lawn Fawn, who make the cutest rubber stamp sets and they are offering our winner a set of their choice - fabulous!

http://www.lawnfawn.cm/collections/all-products

So what are you waiting for - get your creative juices flowing and show us your creations, we don't mind what they are as long as they fit the theme and have been made by you!

I hope to see you all soon!

Happy New Year!

I have been very remiss in posting over the holiday period but I'm back!

Firstly let me wish everyone a very Happy New Year. 2013 was not a good year for us, lots of things happened beyond our control that made life unpleasant, we also saw some very good friends suffer unbelievably so we are hoping that 2014 is going to be THE year!

You may be getting the idea that I am starting a new challenge site and you would be right. When Lady Anne's closed it was such a shame to break up such a fabulous team that I said I would continue with a new challenge!

Check out the page above - the new challenge will start on 5 January 2014 and the design team will include:

Lady Anne, Elenor, Patti, Heidi, Elizabeth and Tania a bunch of very talented ladies!

So in celebration of the new challenge I would like to show you a card I made using Dragonfly Pixie from Scrappers Delight. Janice gave away this image as one of her 12 days of Christmas giveaways and I think it's beautiful!

Isn't she just gorgeous! I coloured her with Promarkers/Flexmarkers and used a variety of papers from my stash for the background, some Spellbinder corners and the heart is also a Spellbinders die, I used a stamp from a freebie set that came with a magazine for the sentiment and added a few pearls.

Please go over to Scrappers Delight and check out the sale - there are some fabulous digis on sale for $1 or just over!

I hope we will see you over at the new challenge - we have some fabulous sponsors and great prizes lined up!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!
