School Days!

Do you remember them? Long, long time ago for me but I do sorta remember the good days, lol!

Well over at Penny's Paper Crafty this week that's our theme - Back to School/School Days!

We have a fabulous sponsor this week -

and I got to play with one of their lovely images - this is what I made

I coloured her with a selection of alcohol markers the cut her out with a shaped die and embossed the edge. I found some great schoolie digi papers on the net so had to buy them! I matted all the papers onto red card and added some red gingham ribbon - just to finish off I added a couple of stars - everyone wants a gold star at school!!

I hope you will come over and join us in this cute challenge this week, hope to see you over at Penny's!

Celebrate!

With us at the Outlawz Colour Challenge this week!

I chose the colour palette and twist this week and here it is:

For my card I used a cute image from Bugaboo - who couldn't celebrate with this little guy!

The image is coloured with Promarkers then added to the background present, all mounted on a sage green card

I hope you can join us this week for this fun challenge and don't forget we have some great sponsors too!

Hope to see you there!

Digisketch Challenge!

It's Monday and a Bank Holiday here in the UK. The new challenge at Digisketch has begun and this challenge we would like to see you use a stamp! If you would also like to use the sketch here it is!

What a great sketch, this is what I came up with

I used a cute digi called Eva from our sponsor Crafty Sentiments - isn't she just too cute! She's coloured with Copics, then cut out with a die cutter and inked around the edges. The papers are from my stash as is the card used for matting. I used a cute little stamp from a set of clear stamps I have that is the star with music, idea for this little cutie!

Well that's it for today - I hope you will join us for this challenge at Digisketch - see you there!

Ebony!

The lovely Heather Valentin, AKA Lacy Sunshine, had a flash FB competition the other day. She gave a choice of two  lovely mermaids for you to get free to make a card before 29th May!

I chose Ebony isn't she beautiful!

I coloured her with alcohol markers and painted her pearl with some Mother of Pearl paint The sand was created from Flitter Glitter - I love that stuff, with a sprinkle of 'starfish', I think it looks quite like the seabed!

I also used a cute shell digi from Scrappers Delight to make my sentiment; I added the text in Word then cut it out and coloured with Promarkers and finished with a nice big pearl!

She was incredibly difficult to photograph and this is about the twenty somethingth attempt!

I will pop over to Facebook and post this onto the Lacy Sunshine group page then Heathers other page!

Thanks for stopping by see you agian soon!

Basket Full of Love!

It really is! The new challenge over at Penny's has a theme of spots and/or stripes, how easy is that!
Our sponsors this week are the lovely Katheryn from Stamp Art Design and Dee Dees Designs.

For my card I got to use one of Deedees amazing images. They all come as sets which is wonderful and gives you so many different takes on the same image.

This image is " A Basket Full of Love" and is soooo adorable

I printed the digi out four times and coloured all or the parts I needed to decoupage the image. All colouring was done with alcohol markers. The sentiment is part of the set too! I used some spots and stripes from my stash, diecutting the pink and blue paper using a heart die.

Come over to Penny's Paper Crafty this week and join us in this fun challenge - see you there!

Looking for Summer!

Tuesday again and that means another Color Challenge at the Outlawz. This weeks lovely colours were chosen by the lovely Roxann

Using these lovely colours I made a card using a digi from Sandi's Samples, our sponsor this month

I printed the digi onto some card printed with the grey spotted fabric paper from Floppy Latte then coloured it with Promarkers. I layered it up with some yellow card then onto some lovely summery paper I found in my stash. The base card is charcoal grey and I added some silver grey ribbon and a sprinkling of lemon and grey butterflies!

I hope you will come over and join us in this lovely challenge this week - see you there!

Split Personality!

A new challenge has started at Eclectic Ellapu and the challenge for the Pink Team is Spring and this is what I came up with

I used the adorable Spring Lamb digi from Bugaboo, I just fell in love with this one when I saw it! My base card is Kraft and it has been layered with some torn black mulberry paper, I added some green gingham ribbon and finally some punched butterflies - one of the best images Bugaboo have put out for ages!
So I think most of our Purple Team must be in hiding so I had a lookie at the Purple Challenge and this time it is a very neat sketch

some of you will know that I have got into sketches recently so I thought I'd knock up a quick card using the sketch

I used a Fizzy Moon decoupage from a pad I won ages ago, I used the papers from the pad to make the background sketch that I set onto a base card made from Centura Pearls. I used the Signature bunting die to cut the silver bunting and the hearts from the die cut I used on the other side of the image. The sentiment was heat embossed with silver than mounted onto some silver card.

So this challenge I am on both teams (a foot in both camps!) I hope you like my cards and that you will join us for these great challenges - see you there!

Happy Wednesday!

Yay, I saw a glimpse of summer on the weather forecast, they say by Friday we should have sunshine - woohoo!
Now I've recovered from the excitement I'll get onto today's post!

The new challenge has begun at Penny's Paper Crafty and this week our sponsor is the very talented Heather Valentin - AKA Lacy Sunshine!

For my card I used one of the Boo images - they are just tooooo cute!

Isn't she a darling! I coloured the digi with alcohol markers. The papers are from my stash - I have a very large plastic bin (dustbin sized!) that I keep all my off cuts in and every now and then I have a proper root and usually find exactly what I want! The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, The flower braid is from the market in Bury and the butterflies and dragonfly are all cut from a die set from Joanna Sheen - I so love her dies!

So come on over to Penny's and join in the fun - I forgot to say the theme this week is  Anything Goes - so what are you waiting for!

Hope to see you again soon!

Butterfly Hearts!

We have another challenge starting at the Outlawz Color Challenge today and the colour palette today was chosen by Ina

This week you get to choose two colours from the picture to go along with that gorgeous turquoise then you make your own twist.

Our sponsor this week is the lovely Sandi Samples and I got to play with one of her lovely digis, this is what I came up with

I cut the butterfly on the heart shape then cut another to layer it up with - coloured with Promarkers, I added some Gelli Roller clear Starlight to the small hearts and the heart edges on the bigger ones, added a liberal sprinkle of glitter and some royal blue heart gems. The background paper is from Nit Wits and the border was cut from some royal blue mirri card using a Memory Box die.

I do hope you will call over and join us in this weeks fun challenge - see you there!

Artemis The Sunday Painter!

Digi Sketch challenge has the wonderful Rick St Dennis as the sponsor for our latest challenge. The theme is everyone's favourite - Anything Goes!

This is the sketch for this challenge:

I have used the sketch and an image from Rick St Dennis called Artemis the Sunday Painter, I just love it!

I used a selection of alcohol markers to colour him and cut him out with a die cut then inked the edges. I used a selection of papers from my stash for the background sketch, all were matted onto some brown card.  I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment onto some kraft card then cut it out.

I do hope you will come over to the Digi Sketch Challenge and join us - we'd love to see your creations!

Don't forget you could win some fabulous digi's from Rick St Dennis - so why not pay us a visit!

Dandelion!

This is a darling image that Mitzi gave away during the 1000 members celebration for the Facebook group! She has also added a flash competition for this digi so you need to get it coloured and made up then added to the FB page before Friday - so if you're not a member - what are you waiting for dash over to the Aurora Wings Facebook group and become a member, then get ready to join in the fun!

I coloured this one with Spectrum Noir markers and Promarkers, I find the Spectrums have a much better range of deep yellows.

I used some olive green pear;ised card as my base and layered it up with some yellow mulberry paper then some grey spotted linen. I cut the corners from some marcasite card and used some marcasite letters, added some green dew drop gems to the corners and that is it!

So remember when you are pulling up those dandelions - you may be pulling up a sprite! After all, we all have fairies at the bottom of the garden, don't we?

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will call again soon!

Friends!

A quick post from me to show you this gorgeous, gorgeous image from Gerda Steiner!

This is the latest image from the freebie challenges and is sooooo adorable -

I coloured the image with Spectrum Noir markers as they had the best colours for the lion! I have kept it really simple! I can see this image being used for little ones arrivals and birthdays. It is also a great image for a friend card which I have made here and will get sent to a very dear friend of mine just because!

So pop over to Gerda Steiners challenge and pick up this cutie, while you're there check out her shop because she has some adorable digis!

Ice Queen

This is a card I have made for the Aurora Wings challenge and the Facebook challenge on the group page! I have had this image for a while and couldn't decide what to do with it! I have tried to bring out the Ice Queen in her - don't know if I've succeeded! What do you think?

I initially coloured her with Promarkers I then added several different glitters to add texture and effect. The background paper is from Jak Heath and is one of my favourites for icy images, I matted it onto some turquoise pearlised paper. It is finished with a selection of snowflakes and gems. I hope you like it!
I will enter this into the challenge on Aurora Wings Challenge blog for Monochromatic and also the Facebook challenge for Shades of Blue.

Thanks for stopping by and I appreciate your comments - hope to see you again soon!

Pass the Burgers!

We have a new challenge started at Penny's and this week we would like to see you use

Two or More Patterned Papers

Lucky me got to play with a cute image from QKR Stampede, who are one of our lovely sponsors this week!

So this is what I made:

Haven't we all got the back yard BBQ chef!

For my papers I have used a set from Nit Wit Collections that I think, sadly, has now been discontinued. It's called All Fired Up. I used the diamond pattern for the background, the brown CookOut paper and the relish paper. I matted all of them onto some brown card. I also used the apron striped paper to paper  piece his apron. I coloured him with a variety of alcohol markers!

Such a great image for all those summer BBQ invitations!

I hope you will come over to Penny's Paper Crafty this week and join in our fun challenge - see you there!

How Does Your Garden Grow!

We have another challenge for you at Dragonfly Dreams - it's the first Sunday of the month again!

This month we would love to see how your garden grows - we want to see your projects showing anything that makes your garden grow!

Our sponsor this month is Fred She Said and the DT got to pick some lovely digis to play with!

As I know that Fred She Said has the most amazing flower digi's I decided I would like to make a card to showcase these beauties, so I picked a magnolia and hibiscus and this is what I came up with

I found the background paper in my stash - perfect for this one! I coloured the images with Promarkers and lightly inked the edges. The sentiment was hand written and heat embossed with chocolate embossing powder, it was all layered up with forest green card and I added some diamonds!

I can't wait to see what you all come up with - see you there!
